••••• She says ... “What is it like having arthritis: in a word...exhausting! Keeping up with appointments, #medication, side effects, other illnesses, trying to live a 'normal' life, work, and deal with the #symptoms of my arthritis. Living with #pain every day is just the beginning of it. The lack of understanding and #awareness of just how complex this disease is can be so frustrating. When #diagnosed: I was diagnosed in June 2013 at the age of 20. Things I'd like others to know about me: although there are times that my disease gets the better of me, I will never let it run my life. When you have a #chronic illness you have to find a #mental and physical balance with your disease otherwise it completely consumes you. Sharing my story with #family and #friends: I am blessed to have an amazingly #supportive family and group of friends who I can talk to openly whenever I need to” ••• Thank you @rheumatoiddiaries for sharing your story 💓 #iAMawarrior
