•••••• I learned one day when @deefrance_ and I went #clubbing that she had Arthritis. Today she shares her story for the first time with all of you 💓 ••••• “I was 18 years old. It was after my first year of #college and also my first legal summer. I remember waking up one morning and not being able to move at all. I felt #broken. It took doctors about a week to figure out what exactly was wrong with me. When they finally #diagnosed me with #rheumatoid #arthritis I was in total shock and #devastated. I honestly didn’t think it was possible to have arthritis at such a young #age. My biggest #challenge is explaining exactly what arthritis is and explains how it affects me because til this day it has been a rollercoaster. Some days I’m okay and then there’s other days that I’m really not.. It’s totally unpredictable. I look “normal” to everyone but doing simple tasks such as opening a new bottle of water or going down the stairs can be a struggle. Struggling with simple tasks like that have been kind of #embarrassing for me. As outgoing as I am, I tend to be shy about my diagnosis. Keeping a #positive outlook on life has always helped me because honestly it can be worst. •••• @deefrance_ thank you so much for always being so supportive and having the courage to share your story. ❤️
